Looking to make an easy gift card holder? Today, I am sharing a Fun Fold Gift Card Holder that I think you will love. The design, a combination of a W Fold and a gift card holder, displays beautifully on a mantle or table.
Fun fold gift card holder design
Today, I am using the Country Birdhouse Bundle for the focal point for my card. I paired it with the Country Woods and Country Lace 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Papers. For the card base, I used Basic Beige. Next, I used several patterns from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper to layer the card front and design the birdhouse.
I used scraps of Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green to add a few flowers and leaves to the birdhouse. To color the little bird, I used Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. I embellished the center of the flowers with Faux Glass Dots.

Creating The Gift Card Holder
For the inside of the card, I created a W fold using Designer Series Paper. I chose a pattern from Country Lace measuring 11″ x 4 1/2″. To create the W fold, I scored every 2 3/4″. Next, I made a diagonal cut on the last panel of the W fold to create the pocket for the gift card holder.
To decorate each of the inside folds, I cut panels of Pool Party and Basic White using the Deckled Rectangle Dies. One could just as easily cut rectangles and layer them just the same. Whatever you do, I recommend adding the finished panels to the Designer Series Paper prior to adhering the paper to the inside of the card base. For the inside sentiments, I used the Unbounded Love Photopolymer Stamp Set.
After first designing my fun fold gift card holder, I found it difficult to write or sign the inside of the card. I was unable to flatten the inside of the card to sign it on the third panel. However, since I would be able to easily sign it on the last panel, I will add a small panel that I can sign at the time I send the card. Again, as I did on the card front, I added some die cut flowers and leaves to the inside fold.
