Spring Corners Birthday Card Design

Step 1: Create Your Stencil

The Spring Corners Bundle includes a beautiful floral die that is perfect for creating custom stencils. Use the floral die and cut it out of a sturdy piece of cardstock or acetate.

Pro Tip: If you plan to use your stencil multiple times, acetate works best because it’s durable and easy to clean.

Step 2: Add Color Using the Stencil

Place your stencil onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. Secure it lightly with a “low tack” or washi tape to prevent movement. Using sponge daubers, blending brushes or Stampin’ Blend Markers, apply ink through the stencil. For this spring corners birthday card, I blended Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow, and Pecan Pie using daubers to create a fresh spring look.

Take your time blending the colors to achieve a smooth gradient effect. Once you’re happy with the result, carefully remove the stencil to reveal your beautifully colored design.

Choose one of the corner greetings from the bundle and stamp it in the upper corner of your layer. For this spring corners birthday card, I used “wishing you an amazing day” in a crisp black ink for contrast. The corner placement makes the greeting stand out while complementing the floral design.

Step 4: Add Dimension with a Die-Cut Layer

To enhance the colored image, use the matching floral die to cut out an outline from a coordinating cardstock color. This die-cut will frame your stenciled design and add a stunning dimensional layer to your spring corners birthday card.

Use adhesive foam dots to adhere the die-cut layer over your stenciled image. This creates depth and a polished finish.

Step 5: Assemble the Card

Now it’s time to bring everything together! Adhere your stenciled and die-cut layer onto a Lemon Lolly card base. You can add a few embellishments like pearls or rhinestones for extra sparkle. Here, I added Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems. Don’t forget to write a heartfelt message inside your spring corners birthday card!
