Today, I have an easy Spanner Panel Fun Fold card using the Reindeer Fun Bundle. To make this darling card, I paired the bundle with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder and Reindeer Days 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. I, absolutely, loved how my Spanner Panel card turned out! But, remember, you can easily make this card with products you already have on hand!
Spanner Panel Card Design
The Spanner Panel card, also referred to as a “bridge card” is a fun fold card that opens twice to reveal a hidden layer, making it quite a unique design. Spanner cards not only have a unique design, but are easy to make and perfect for a variety of occasions.
One of the unique features of the card is the creation of a bridge between the two side panels, thereby, creating three layers to the card. Here, I used a window sheet to “bridge” two side panels. The window sheet allows full view of the front center panel. I chose to adhere my greeting to the center panel so that it could be viewed through the window sheet. However, a piece of card stock can also be used to create the “bridge.”

For the center of the Fun Fold, I dry embossed Basic White card stock using the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I die cut the deer and fawn from the Reindeer Days 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to “pop” up my die cuts for added dimension, enhancing the spanner panel fun fold effect.

Once the center front panel is opened, the third layer is revealed. Here, I created two side panels as I had on the front of the card, maintaining consistency in this fun fold spanner panel design. I then used the center to add my sentiment.
