Make An Easy Corner Fold Card: Step-By-Step Instructions

For today’s fun fold card class, I am sharing an easy Corner Fold Card. While there are many different ways to make a corner fold, I like this one for two reasons. First, it is easy. However, I recommend watching the video tutorial so that you can stop and start as you create your card. Second, I like adding a layer of Designer Series Paper to the front of the card, prior to cutting the corner. Why? Once the corner is cut and folded, I have matching Designer Series Paper on the inside of the corner fold, as well as, the card front.

A Easy Corner Fold Card Design

As many fun fold card designs, the corner fold card displays Designer Series Paper, beautifully! I chose to use two patterns from Unbounded Beauty. For the front of the card, I chose a Pretty In Pink floral pattern. I loved the softness and water-colored look of the paper. For my corner fold, which was, also, my focal point, I chose a multi-colored floral pattern. After choosing the Designer Series Paper, I decided on Berry Burst for the card base.

For the focal point of my corner fold, I layered the Designer Series Paper with the multi-colored floral pattern on Basic White. Using the Stylish Shapes Dies, I cut a circle for my “Happy Birthday” sentiment. Next, I used the Flowers of Beauty Bundle to stamp and die cut two flowers and two leaves. Since the Flowers of Beauty is a two-step stamp set, I used Berry Burst for the flowers. But, for the center of the flowers, I “stamped off” allowing for a lighter shade. For the leaves, I paired Pretty Peacock with Summer Splash. After die cutting the stamped images, I added them to the front corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished by embellishing with 2024-2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems.

Corner Fold Card Inside

Since I had layered the card front with Designer Series Paper, the pattern carried through to the inside when I created my corner fold. To add a little something extra to that panel, I added a die cut flower and leaves matching those on the card front. Next, I added a 3/8″ strip of matching Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the Basic White layer. I used sentiments from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set for both the front and inside of the card.
