With Fall, I start to think of the approaching holidays. One of my favorite holidays is Thanksgiving! I enjoy sending Thanksgiving cards to express my thankfulness and gratitude to those in my life. But, I must admit, I don’t often purchase products that are specific to Thanksgiving. Instead, I look at the products I have and how I could use them to express thankfulness. So, today, I thought I would use the Autumn Expressions Bundle to share card making ideas for “giving thanks.”

The card that I am sharing with you is part of the Crafty Collaborations “themed” hop. This month’s theme is “Giving Thanks.” Crafty Collaboration’s blog “hops” are comprised of Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. These talented demonstrators love sharing their stamping and crafting ideas to provide you with inspiration. I hope, that as you “hop” along, you will be inspired by the many card making ideas for “giving thanks.”

Autumn Expressions Bundle Thanksgiving Card

I based the entire card around the piece of Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper than I chose for my card. Rather than Basic White, I chose Very Vanilla for the card base. My Designer Series Paper was layered on Crushed Curry. I used Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie for the leaf die cuts.

The locket in the Autumn Expressions Bundle was ideal for a focal point. I used Gold Foil for the locket. Since my card is for Thanksgiving, I chose to use the sentiment “Grateful for You.”

For the inside of the card, I layered Very Vanilla and Crushed Curry. I added die cuts to the lower right corner of the card and trimmed them even with the Basic White layer. I chose not to add a sentiment, as I usually write a handwritten note.
