Crafty Collaborations Sweet Treat Blog Hop Banner

Today, I am participating in the Crafty Collaborations Sweet Treat Blog Hop. This hop is made up of Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. These talented demonstrators love sharing their stamping and crafting ideas to provide you with inspiration. I have chosen to feature the bundle, Stampin’ Up! Ice Cream Swirl. Because I wanted to create something other than an ice cream cone, I chose to focus on all the other “sweet treats” found in this bundle.

Instead of ice cream, create a card using the other "sweet treats" found in the Stampin' Up! Ice Cream Swirl Bundle.

When I first saw the Ice Cream Swirl bundle, it wasn’t the ice cream that caught my eye. It was all the other “sweet treats.” I was immediately drawn to the card on page 37 of the 2024 January – April Mini Catalog. That card didn’t focus on the ice cream, but instead all of the other “sweets” found in this cute bundle. With that in mind, I decided to CASE that particular card with a few changes to make it my own!

I chose to use a pattern from the Lighter Than Air 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper for a layer on the front of my card. This pattern provided the colors I would use to design the rest of my card. For the card base, I chose Flirty Flamingo. Next, I adhered a layer of Basic White that I dry embossed using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. At the bottom of the embossed layer, I added my piece of Designer Series Paper.

The bowl for the fruit and the "sweet treats were stamped and die cut using Stampin' Up! Ice Cream Swirl.

I used the ice cream cone dies to create my bowl. Next, I stamped the “sweet treats” using Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and colored them with Stampin’ Blends. Wink of Stella provided a shiny look to the lifesavers. I had fun arranging all the “sweet treats” in and around the bowl while adhering them with either Multipurpose Glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals. After fussy cutting my sentiment, I popped it up with Dimensionals. To finish up the card front, I added a bow using the 2022 – 2024 In Colors Bakers Twine and a heart from the Adhesive Backed Hearts and Flowers.

Card: Inside

For the inside of the card, I added a layer of Basic White with a matching 3/8″ strip of Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper.

As I often do, I left the inside blank until I am ready to send the card.
