Today, I am excited to share an Accordion Fun Fold Card with a jaw-dropping design! I first saw this design created by Cheryl Hamilton 3-4 years ago. I had never seen this particular accordion fold, before, and was awe-struck at the possibilities.
When you first look at this fun fold, it doesn’t look any different than a standard card. But when you open it, that’s where the magical accordion fun fold card reveals itself! Below, I created a birthday card using the Wildflower Designs Bundle, Timber 3D Embossing Folder and Unbounded Beauty 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. For the sentiments, I used the Unbounded Love Stamp.

Accordion Fun Fold Card Design
I, first, chose my Designer Series Paper followed by Early Expresso for the card base and Crumb Cake for the embossed layer. Next, I added a 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ strip of Designer Series Paper matted on Early Expresso to the left front of the card. I stamped the sentiment in Early Expresso and die cut using the Wildflower Dies. Next, I stamped the flower using Tuxedo Black Momento ink and colored the image with Crumb Cake and Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends. To finish off the accordion fun fold card’s front, I added a double Linen thread bow and Misty Moonlight gems from the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack.

The magic of this fun fold is the inside. I used a 5 1/4″ x 10″ piece of Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper. After scoring every two inches, I folded on the score lines to create the accordion fold for the card. I adhered, both, ends of the Designer Series Paper to the inside of the card base. To add a sentiment and a space to sign the card, I added a 1 3/4″ x 5″ Basic White layer to the back of the card.
On each of the folds, I added a Basic White Circle stamped, either, with a sentiment or image. I matted each of the circles on Early Expresso. I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut my circles. Finally, I staggered the circles on each of the folds to create a step-like appearance that enhances the accordion fun fold card.
