Today’s card is an alternate project using Paper Pumpkin’s Kit, Sweet Sunflowers from August 2022. This kit is, absolutely, gorgeous. Hands down, one of my favorites with endless possibilities. The card I am sharing today, is part of Crafty Collaborations’ Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. Each month demonstrators from around the world share their alternate creations using the current kit to provide a variety of alternate ways to use the supplies in the Paper Pumpkin Kit. At the end of this post, please join me in “hopping” along to the next blog to see what others have to share!
I cut the card bases in the Sweet Sunflowers Kit along the scoreline, as the bases are printed on both sides. This allowed me to make two beautiful cards, instead of one. The Paper Pumpkin card base was used as I would Designer Series Paper. The water-colored look of the sunflowers is stunning and paired well with images from the Art Gallery Bundle.
Crushed Curry was used for the card base and layered with Blackberry Bliss. I stamped the small image from Art Gallery in Crushed Curry and went over the stems and small flowers using Evening Evergreen and Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Markers. Once die cut, I “popped” it up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used a Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker to color White Baker’s Twine for the bow.
Card Measurements
- Crushed Curry:
- 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored 4 1/4″ (card base)
- Blackberry Bliss:
- 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (outside layer)
- 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside layer)
- Basic White
- 3 3/4″ x 5″ (inside layer)

- Sweet Sunflowers Card Base cut in two and trimmed to 4″ x 5 1/4″
I hop you enjoyed my card! Please “hop” on to the next blog to see what other talented demonstrators have done with Sweet Sunflowers!

Love how you complimented the card base with Art Gallery, Kathi! It is indeed the perfect pairing for the watercolor card bases. Love that you colored the Baker’s Twine, too. Thanks for the inspiration. x
