Sweet Sunflowers, August 2022 Paper Pumpkin, is by far, my all time favorite! The gorgeous card bases, printed on both sides have a watercolored look. This made it difficult for me to justify using them as the card base! So, I didn’t! I cut the card bases in half and used them as I would Designer Series Paper. This would allow me to make twice as many alternate projects. Additionally, the Sweet Sunflowers envelopes are printed to coordinate with the Sweet Sunflowers card bases. As you can guess, I “chopped” those up, too! I trimmed the flap off to reuse on a regular envelope and cut the front of the envelope to use as Designer Series Paper. When all is said and done, I had enough to make twenty – seven cards!
The Sweet Sunflowers alternate cards below were paired with two bundles: Celebrate Sunflowers and and Art Gallery. The images in Art Gallery picked up the watercolor look of images from the Sweet Sunflower card bases and envelopes, while the Celebrate Sunflowers added to the sunflower images. I used the tags and punch out images from the kit along with a few die cuts from the Sunflowers Dies.
