Angled Gatefold Card – Easily Make One Yourself!

When I first started making fun folds, the Angled Gatefold card was intimidating. Specifically, the angled cuts of the card stock and patterned paper. Could I get them to fit? It took me a long time to try it and in the end, I don’t know what I was so worried about? It truly is easy and so pretty.

Magical Meadow Angled Gatefold card

I decided to make my card using the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper. This particular paper is absolutely beautiful. Blueberry Bushel was used for the card base and belly band. Instead of cutting two pieces of Designer Series Paper, I decided to use white Textured 12″ x 12″ Shimmer Paper for one side of my angled gatefold. However, if preferred, you can use Basic White card stock or another piece of Designer Series Paper. I took a risk by dry embossing the Textured Shimmer Paper with the Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folder. I was pleasantly surprised as to how much I liked it and how it coordinated, well, with the images on the Designer Series Paper.

To finish off the belly band, I used Countryside Corners dies to cut an octagonal shape for the sentiment. I, also, used two dies, for stems and berries, and sentiments from the Magical Meadow Bundle. Next, I colored White Bakers Thread using the Dark Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Blends and allowed it to dry before tying the bow.

On the inside, I simply layered a strip of Blueberry Bushel card stock with a strip of matching Designer Series Paper.

  • 11″ x 5 1/2″” scored at 3 3/8″ and 7 5/8″
  • 1″ x 9 1/2″ (belly band)
  • 1/2″ x 3/8″ (inside strip 1)

  • 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside layer)
  • Scrap (die cut)
• Textured 12″ x 12′ Shimmer Paper (White) (Can use Basic White Card Stock, if preferred)
  • 3 1/8″ x 5 1/8( angled layer 2 – embossed)
