Translucent Floral Birthday Card In Minutes

I love the Stampin’ Up! Translucent Floral Bundle! The shape and “airiness” of the leaves and blooms is very appealing to me. Needless to say, I was very excited with the release of the Online Exclusive, Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper. The images on the paper match those of the stamped images of the bundle. They complement one another so well, I decided to pair them together for my card.

I love the richness and warmth of the colors in the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper. Blackberry Bliss was used for the card base. Next, I dry embossed Basic White with the Basics 3D Embossing Folder. A partial layer of Delightfully Floral Designer Series Paper was added to the lower portion of the embossed layer.

I used colors from the Designer Paper : Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral and Parakeet Party and “stamped off” for a softer image. I decided to die cut a two smaller flowers from Vellum. For one of the flowers, I colored a small piece of Vellum with the Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends marker before die cutting. A quarter inch strip of Blackberry Bliss added a nice touch for the transitioning from embossed layer to Designer Series Paper.

On the inside, I simply layered a strip of Blackberry Bliss card stock with a strip of matching Designer Series Paper. I, often, wait to stamp the inside sentiment until I am ready to send the card.
