If you’re searching for simple card making ideas, you’re in the right place! Whether you’re brand new to stamping or just need a quick win, these six cards come together in about 20 minutes—and they’re as pretty as they are easy.
Have you ever come across a sheet of Designer Series Paper that has a beautiful decorative border… but a big white space in the middle? The first time I saw one, I was stumped. What do I do with all that white?
Well, here’s a quick trick that turns that paper into a mini cardmaking session—and gives you six finished cards in no time.

Here’s One of My Favorite Simple Card Making Ideas:
1. Start with a 12” x 12” sheet of Designer Series Paper with a border.
2. Cut it into six 4” x 6” panels. Each panel becomes the front of a card, a perfect start for your simple card making ideas.
3. Adhere the panel to a card base. You can leave it simple or layer it with a coordinating piece of card stock to step it up.
4. Add sentiments and embellishments. I used pre-cuts from the Greetings For All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack (Item #164862), which is featured in the new 2025 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. It makes cardmaking quick, easy, and fun.
These are truly simple card making ideas that anyone can make—no complicated techniques, no fancy tools, just beautiful results in minutes.

When trimming the 4″ x 6″ panels for the card fronts, save the scraps to use for dressing up the inside layers of the card. Add a 3/8″ strip of Designer Series Paper on an edge of the Basic White layer on the inside of the card. To step-it-up, matte the strip of Designer Series Paper with a contrasting or coordinating color of card stock.
