Make an Easy Faux Panel Card for a Stunning Creation

Today’s Mystery Stamping involves creating an easy Faux Panel card that is stunning! Why I am calling it a faux panel? Instead of cutting several small pieces of card stock, which I would use to matte the pieces of Designer Series Paper, I am layering pieces of Designer Series Paper on a single layer. The trick is to lay the pieces of Designer Series Paper on a single layer, leaving a border around, as well as, between each piece of paper. There is no right or wrong way to arrange the paper. Simply play with it, move it around and see what you create.

Creating Faux Panel Card Front

To create my Faux Panel, I chose to use Berry Burst for the card base layered with Basic Black. Basic Black was my “faux layer.” For interest, I used different patterns from the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper. I love the look of the complimentary colors and patterns.

To create my focal point, I used a combination of stamped and die cut images from the Thoughtful Expressions Bundle. Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to “pop up” the focal panel and sentiment. Embellishments were added using the Tinsel Gems Four-Pack.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the same image I used for my focal point on the card front. I finished off by adding a matching pieces of Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap creating a stunning piece of stationary!
