If you are looking to make a Jungle Pals birthday card, I have a card that is worth celebrating! The Jungle Pals Stamps and Dies are a Stampin’ Up! Sale-a-bration “freebie.” When I first saw the Jungle Pals Stamps and Dies, nostalgia came flooding back to all the jungle movies that I have watched with my grandchildren over the years: Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Adventure, Madagascar and Rio just to name a few.
Jungle Pals Birthday Card Design
My first task, was to choose a piece of Designer Series Paper that would coordinate with a jungle theme. I chose a piece from the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper. Once that was done, I chose Parakeet Party for my card base. Next, I layered with Basic White dry embossed using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder.
Since I was going to color using Stampin’ Blends, I stamped my images using Tuxedo Black Momento Ink. I chose two colors for the tiger: Wild Wheat (Light) and Lemon Lolly. I enjoy mixing the Blends to create new colors. For the lemur, I used Smoky Slate. All of the stamped images and die cuts were “popped” up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Jungle Pals Stamp Set does not have any sentiments. So, I used sentiments from other stamp sets. I used Throughout The Year for “Happiest of Birthdays” and So Sincere for the inside sentiment. The Heartfelt Hexagon was used to punch out the sentiment for the front of the card. The 2022-2024 In-Color Pearls were used to embellish the card front.
I, rarely, “pop up” anything on the inside of my cards. However, the little lemur was “screaming” to stand out and make a statement. In the end, I was happy with the result.
In the video below, I make the card and provide tips for using Stampin’ Blends. Further down in the post, you will find the measurements, supplies and a downloadable PDF with instructions for the card made during the video. Leave me a comment as I would love your thoughts on my Jungle Pals Birthday Card!
