Today, I am featuring a card that uses the Trucking Along Bundle for something other than a card for the holidays. What I love most about this bundle is it’s ease of use and versatility to make cards for a variety of occasions. The Trucking Along Bundle incorporates two-step stamping including a variety of images for the back of the truck, as well as, several sentiments. The Trucking Along Builder Punch allows you to punch out the stamped image or create a truck from pieces that you punch.
Additionally, my card is part of the Crafty Collaborations Technique Tuesday Blog Hop. This month the technique is punches. The Blog Hop is comprised of Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world who love sharing ideas for card making and paper crafting. At the end of this post, you will see a list with links that will take you over to their websites for added inspiration.
Trucking Along Bundle Card Design
I wanted to make a card to send to a friend who was recovering from being ill. I wanted something that was clean, simple and cute. Immediately, I thought of the Trucking Along Bundle. Since I wanted to use the Tartan Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper, I chose Pebbled Path for my card base. I used both sides of the Tartan Foil for layers on my card front. I had recently visited a home decorating store and saw a green truck with pumpkins. So, I decided to use Old Olive for the truck.
Next, I used the Deckled Circle Dies and cut one from Pebbled Path and one from Basic White. I layered these together for my focal point. I stamped the flowers for the back of the truck, as well as, the sentiment, on the Basic White circle. Instead of using the two-step stamp for the flowers, I colored the stamped image with Stampin’ Blends. Afterwards, I adhered the truck to the circles with Dimensionals. I, then, adhered the circles and truck to the front of the card with Multipurpose Glue.
In the video, below, you will see to how easy and versatile the Trucking Along Bundle is for making a variety of cards. Further down in the post, you will see measurements, supplies and downloadable PDF. Leave me a comment, I would love to know what you think about the bundle and card.
In keeping with clean and simple, the inside of the card was a layer of Basic White with a 3/8″ strip of Tartan Foil on the lower edge with a sentiment.
