Are you ready for an easy fun fold that will pack a punch and “wow”? If so, get ready for the Double Dutch Fold card. There are variety of ways in which to make a Double Dutch Fold card. But today, I am sharing what I believe to be one of the easiest ways. I chose to use the Lily Pond Lane Suite Collection. The Suite includes: Charming Duck Pond Bundle, Lily Pond Lane 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, and Adhesive-Backed Dappled Dots.

Hello Friend Double Dutch Fold Card

To start off, I chose two different patterns of paper to use for my fun fold. Next, I chose Pretty Peacock for the card base and the lower strip to make the dutch doors. To create the Double Dutch Fold, I adhered the back of the card base to the lower strip with the folds. These two pieces created my Double Dutch Fold.

Next, I added the larger piece of Designer Series Paper to the upper fold of my card. I created my focal point using a circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I stamped the cattails using Pretty Peacock and Pecan Pie. Since the duck required two-step stamping, I used Tuxedo Black Moment ink for the outline and Pretty Peacock and Crushed Curry for the body, beak and feet. To add additional color, I used Crumb Cake and Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends. After, die cutting the duck, I adhered it to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment using Pretty Peacock, trimmed it to size and popped it up with foam adhesive.

To finish up the two lower flaps, I used two smaller pieces of Designer Series Paper with a different pattern.

Double Dutch Fold Inside

For the inside of the card, I stamped the cattails and a duckling in the lower right hand corner. I colored the duckling using Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends and stamped the sentiment using Pretty Peacock.
