I don’t know about you, but sometimes, masculine cards can be challenging. Today, I am sharing an easy masculine card that I made using the Stampin’ Up Racing By Stamp Set. This stamp set is easy to pass by in the catalog, but it is, definitely, worth a second look.
Stampin’ Up Racing by Birthday Card
I decided to use the Stampin’ Up Racing By to make my grandson’s birthday card. Since it was the first time I used the stamp set, I chose to CASE a card from the 2024 -2026 Annual Catalog. My colors are different from the card in the catalog. I chose to use Crushed Curry for the card base and layered it with Night of Navy. Next, I used 1 5/8″ x 4″ Basic White panels for stamping the images and my sentiment.
The Racing By stamp set requires two-step stamping. Because the stamps are photopolymer, aligning the stamps are easy. However, I chose to use a positioning tool to stamp my images. Either way works, equally, well. For the center and bottom panels, I stamped the outline images with Tuxedo Black Momento ink. I, then, stamped the body of the cars using Real Red, Night of Navy and Crushed Curry.
For the top panel, I stamped the checkered flag and “fussy” cut it. I adhered it to an 1/4″ x 2 1/2″ strip of Basic Black. The sentiment was stamped with Tuxedo Black ink on Crushed Curry, after which, I trimmed the sentiment to size and snipped banners on, both, ends. Next, I adhered the flag and sentiment to the top Basic White Panel. The three Basic White Panels were evenly spaced and adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stampin’ Up Racing By Birthday Inside
I kept the inside of the card very simple. Using sentiments from the retired Grand Kids Stamp Set, I stamped my sentiments. Next, I stamped the trophy in the lower right corner of a Basic White Layer. After adhering the Basic White layer to a layer of Night of Navy, I adhered the combined layer to the inside of the card base.
Below is the instructional video demonstrating how to make the card, as well as, tips for two-step stamping. Further down in the post, you will find a downloadable PDF with the link to the instructional video, measurements, and supplies. Additionally, there is a picture of a second card. I would love you thoughts on the Stampin’ Up Racing By stamp set and two-step stamping!
Additional Card Using Racing By Stamp Set
Above, is another easy masculine card using Stampin’ Up Racing By. I used Night of Navy for the card base layered with Basic White embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. Next, I added a center panel using Full of Life 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper layered on Night of Navy. I “fussy” cut the stamped images and popped them up on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
