The Stampin’ Up! Hang An Ornament Bundle is perfect for creating classic holiday cards that are, truly, stunning! One can use the bundle to create beautiful paper ornaments or an interactive pop-out card. Today, I chose to die cut the ornaments and incorporate them into a classic-looking card for the holidays.

Hang An Ornament Bundle Classic Holiday Card Design

I chose to use classic Christmas Colors including Cherry Cobbler, Basic Beige, Shaded Spruce and Gold. To start, I used Cherry Cobbler for the card base. Next, I added a layer of Basic Beige that was dry embossed using the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder. I used the Perennial Postage Dies to create a collage from the Season of Elegance 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper.

To create the ornaments, I used Versamark Ink and Gold Embossing Powder to heat emboss on Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler. After die cutting the three ornaments, I adhered a piece of 1/8″ Gold Trim to the back of each ornament. The ornaments were, then, staggered and adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the centers of the two Shaded Spruce ornaments, I added a die cut from the Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper. I chose to heat emboss the sentiment in gold and adhered it to the center of the Cherry Cobbler ornament. Finally, I used the Iridescent Faceted Gems to add sparkle to the Shaded Spruce ornaments.

On the inside of the card, I layered Basic Beige on a layer of Cherry Cobbler, I heat embossed the sentiment using Versamark Ink and Gold Embossing Powder. Finally, I embossed at 1/8″ and 1/4″ around the edges of the Basic Beige layer. I love the finished look the embossed lines provide. It reminds me of an elegant piece of stationary!
