Overlay Fun Fold Card: Get Creative

Today, I am sharing an Overlay Fun Fold Card. This fun fold is easy and versatile. The layout provides opportunities to be creative and make it your own. When designing an Overlay Fun Fold, you can position the overlay panel in the center or off to one side. Throughout the post, you will see examples of each.

For this fun fold, I centered the overlay panel. I used Blackberry Bliss for my card base paired with two different patterns from Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper. The gold inlay in the Designer Series Paper really steps-up the design!

To create my focal point, I used the Notes of Nature Bundle. I cut leaves from Lost Lagoon and Soft Seafoam which went well with the Blackberry Bliss. I used the retired Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems to embellish the front of the card. You could just as easily use the Iridescent Foil Gems.

Below, I positioned the overlay panel to the left side of the card front. Here, I used the Trusty Tools Bundle with Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper. To add some texture, I embossed the Basic White layer with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.

The card below, is similar to the one I made in the video. Here, I used the Lovely & Sweet Bundle with Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper. To play off the gold inlay in the upper fold, I heat embossed the image and sentiments using Gold Embossing Powder.
