Today’s Live Card Class

During my LIVE card class, I featured the Sentimental Florals Stamps & Dies (Concord & 9th)—a wonderfully versatile set where you pick a sentiment and surround it with graceful greenery and colorful florals. You can stamp the flowers or use dies; for today’s all occasion fun fold I chose die-cut florals for crisp dimension. I paired Spellbinders cardstock with the Charming patterned paper collection from Scrapbook.com. The double-sided papers make mixing and matching effortless—think florals, plaids, stripes, tone-on-tone, and solids that coordinate beautifully on both the outside and inside of the card.

Measurements (A2)

  • Card base: 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″; score at 2 1/4″
  • Front panels (if you choose to use rectangular dies, adjust measurements for die cutting)
    • Panel 1: 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
    • Panel 2: 3″ x 4 1/4″
  • Center Greeting (die cut): 2″ x 2″
  • Inside: 4″ x 5 3/8″
  • Patterned Paper:
    • Front Fold: 2 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
    • Right inside edge: 1 1/4″ x 5 3/8″
  • Coordinating scraps for die cutting flowers or leaves

Why This Fun Fold Works (and Why It’s My Go-To)

  • Fast build: Minimal cuts + straightforward scoring
  • Versatile design: Swaps from classic to seasonal and perfect for almost any stamp set and dies
  • Steps up easily with added layers
  • Batch-friendly: Pre-cut bases/panels and assemble a gift set in minutes

Here’s a stepped-up version of this fun fold card if you want extra polish: For the front, layer a contrasting cardstock beneath your patterned paper to create a crisp frame—about 1/8″ smaller on all sides for a neat reveal.

On the inside, add the same contrasting cardstock, then cut a rectangle the same size as your front panel and adhere it so the inner layer is perfectly “hidden” behind the front flap when the card is closed. This keeps the design seamless from the outside while delivering a delightful surprise when opened. Finish with a coordinating die cut such as a floral cluster, leafy spray, or sentiment label. Tip: dry-fit before gluing, keep adhesive away from the fold so the flap moves freely,
