With the holidays quickly approaching, I wanted to share ideas for easy Christmas cards & tags using the Humble Home Bundle. While the versatility of the Humble Home Bundle is perfect for a variety of occasions, today’s focus is on easy Christmas cards and tags.
Easy Christmas Cards Using Humble Home Bundle
Since I chose to pair the Humble Home Bundle with the Take A Bow 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, I chose to use traditional Christmas colors. With the card base Basic White, I used Real Red and Shaded Spruce for layering and die cuts. To break up the Designer Series Paper, I added a strip of card stock. However, on the second card, I used the Shaded Spruce 1/2″ Satin & Sheer Ribbon to achieve the same effect.
For my focal point, I used a circle from the Spotlight On Nature Dies and the house. I stamped the house using Versamark Ink and heat embossed it using white embossing powder. This reminded me of white frosting that one might use to decorate a gingerbread cookie. Finally, I used the Iridescent Faceted Gem to add sparkle to the front of the card. To add the finishing touch, I added a matching piece of Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap.
The insides of, both, cards were layered with coordinating card stock and Basic White for the sentiment. A 3/8″ strip of matching Designer Series Paper was added to the lower edge of the Basic White layer, giving it a cohesive and polished look.
Easy Gift Tags Using Humble Home Bundle & Greetings of the Season Bundle
The easy gift tags, above, were made using the Humble Home and Greetings of the Season Bundles. I used the largest die from Greetings of the Season with Basic White Thick card stock for my tag. For the greetings, I used, both, the Humble Home and Greetings of the Season Stamp Sets. To add some dimension and texture, I dry embossed the tag on the right using the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. I did this after stamping the greetings on the front and back of my tag.
For my focal point, I stamped the house using Versamark and Early Expresso Ink. I then heat embossed the stamped image using clear embossing powder. After punching out the house, I popped it up on the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I added some ribbon to complete the tags.
