Hinged Fun Fold Masterfully Made

Today, I am designing a Hinged Fun Fold card using Stampin’ Up! Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper. I first saw this fun fold during the 2023 Summer Creativate Retreat. This was a card done by Sharon Armstrong and has quickly become one of my favorites. The Hinged Fun Fold is easy and adaptable to any patterned paper and any occasion. Below, you will see three different versions using the same basic design. I used the So Sincere Stamp set for all of the greetings. This will be available beginning September 6th when the 2023 September – December Mini Catalog goes “live.” I hope you enjoy the Hinged Fun Fold and have fun re-creating or CASEING, whichever you choose to do!

Hinged Fun Fold Card Design in Melon Mambo

My first attempt at making this fun fold, I CASED Sharon’s card using the same sheet of Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper. However, I changed the color of my card base to Melon Mambo. My sentiment was stamped on Basic White and mounted on Melon Mambo, both, of which were cut using the Deckled Circle Dies that will be available in the 2023 September – December Mini Catalog on September 6th. On the inside, I mounted a second Basic White layer with a floral image from Darling Details stamped in Melon Mambo. This provided additional room to write a personalized note. A single Brushed Brass Butterfly was used as an embellishment on the sentiment.

Hinged Fun Fold In Lemon Lime Twist

Below, is the Hinged Fun Fold card that I made during the video. I changed the card base to Lemon Lime Twist and used a different sheet from the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper. I used the vertical “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the So Sincere stamp set and positioned my hinge on the top, right corner of the card. The lower inside portion of the card is another piece of Designer Series Paper in Lemon Lime Twist that looks like torn papers. I used the Tinsel Gems Four Pack to embellish the front of the card.

• Lemon Lime Twist
  • 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ (card base)
• Basic White
  • 4 x 5 1/4″ ( top inside layer )
  • 1″ x 4″ (sentiment)
• Melon Mambo
  • 1 1/4″ x 4″ (matte for sentiment)
• Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper (2 designs)
  • First Design (Floral)
    • 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ (bottom, outside layer)
    • 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ (top of basic white layer)
  • Second Design (Torn Paper)
    • 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ (bottom, inside layer)
    • 1 1/4″ x 4″ (inside hinge layer)

Hinged Fun Fold In Bubble Bath

In this design, the card is portrait with the hinge attached on the right side of the card. On the inside, I layered Berry Burst dry embossed with the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder. The outside of the card was embellished using the Tinsel Gems Four Pack.
