It’s hard to believe that it is the beginning of November. With that being said, I have been working on holiday cards for the past four months. I am “one of those people” who loves making cards for the holidays and today is no exception! I chose to feature a card using Stampin’ Up Lights Aglow Suite.
The Lights Aglow Suite consists of two stamp and die bundles: Christmas Lights and Brightest Glow. The coordinating Designer Series Paper, also called Lights Aglow, is made up of rich colors such as Cherry Cobber, Evening Evergreen, and Black. Each sheet of Designer Series Paper has gold foil inlays. Pair all of this with Gold Glimmer Specialty Paper and Gold & Vanilla Satin-Edged Ribbon and you have a winning combination for stunning cards with endless opportunities.
Additionally, today’s card is taking part in the Sweethearts Global Collective Holiday Blog Hop. We are an International group of Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who love to share our creativity with not only our customers, but, one another. At the end of this post, please “hop” along with me to the other blogs for ideas and inspiration from many talented demonstrators.

Lights Aglow Holiday Card Design
The card design is rather, “simple” with Very Vanilla used for the card base. A layer of Very Vanilla dry embossed using the Snowflakes from the Wintry 3D Embossing Folders added texture and dimension to the card front. In keeping with the gold foil found in the Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper, I die cut snowflakes using the Twinkling Lights Dies with the Gold Shimmer Specialty Paper. Sentiments were heat embossed using Gold Embossing Powder. A square of Cherry Cobbler cut from the Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper added a “pop” of color and focal point.
At the end of this post, please “hop” along with me to visit the other blogs and see the amazing creativity of these wonderful demonstrators from around the world! Don’t forget to leave a comment and show them a “little love!”

Die Cutting Gold Shimmer Snowflakes
Consider using Adhesive Backed Strips on the back of the Gold Shimmer Specialty Paper. Run the die cut through the Cut & Emboss Machine twice. This will make it easier to remove the smaller pieces.
