Today, I am sharing a festive holiday card made with the Decorative Trees Bundle. This bundle is super fun with so many options for Christmas cards. The bundle includes a basic die cut of an evergreen tree and several distinctive die cuts. The die cuts can be used individually or layered over the evergreen tree.

In the card below, I chose to use several layers of two colors: Basic White and Shaded Spruce. Three layers were dry embossed using the Decorative Tile 3D Embossing Folder. For the front of the card, I created a tone-on-tone layer by stamping several evergreen trees using Shaded Spruce on a layer of Shaded Spruce.

For the focal point, I used the evergreen die to cut a tree from Shaded Spruce. To add texture to the tree, I embossed it, as I did the layers, with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Prior to die cutting the “snowflake tree,” I applied an Adhesive Sheet to the Basic White card stock. Since the die cut is distinctive and intricate in design, it made it easy to overlay it on the embossed tree.

While I used a die from Changing Leaves to cut the sentimen, it could just as easily be trimmed to size or die cut with a die you already have on hand. To add a little bling, I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the tree..

For the inside of the card, I used a sentiment from Greetings of the Season Stamp Set. I layered the sentiment layer on a layer of Shaded Spruce that was dry embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.
