Mini Slimline Holiday Cards You Can Make In Minutes

Today, I thought it would be fun to do something a little different. So, I decided to share mini slimline holiday cards that you can make in minutes! I love that these cards fit in a standard size envelope with a “regular” postage stamp. As with any card, one can make it simple or “step it up” depending on your mood.

Nests of Winter Mini Slimline Card

For my holiday mini slimline card, I used Real Red for the card base. Next, I used the Nests of Winter 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper for layering and die cutting the birds. For added texture and dimension, I dry embossed the layer of Designer Series Paper using the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder.

The background for the focal point was cut using the largest die from the Peaceful Season Bundle. I used the Winterly Tree Tops Dies to die cut the bird images from the Designer Series Paper and sprigs of greenery making it quick and easy to assemble my card. The Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries were perfect for adding a little bling to the card front.

I kept the inside of my slimline card simple. The sentiment was from the Peaceful Season Stamp Set. In the lower right corner, I added a partial die cut image of the same bird used on the front of the card. I like using the partial images from Designer Series Paper on the inside layer of my cards. This allows me to carry through the design from the outside, as well as, use partial images that might otherwise be discarded.
