I used the Blessings of Home Bundle to make the “Thank You” card seen below. In the beginning of the month, I entered a card in Kylie Bertucci’s International Highlights. The card I entered finished in the top ten. As a result, I am participating in Kylie’s International Blog Hop beginning December 27, 2021. I feel very fortunate, as there are very talented Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from all over the world that participate. Now, you may be visiting from another site, or you may have started out here, but no matter, read through to the end of my post to visit the rest of the talented demonstrators blogs that placed in the top ten for December!
Why A Thank You Card?
Too often, in our busy lifestyles, we forget to show appreciation and gratitude to others. And, it’s such a small gesture that means so very much! Gratitude, the quality of being thankful is powerful. Research shows a strong association between thankfulness or gratitude with greater happiness. Not only for others, but for oneself, as well. So please take a moment to say “thank you” to someone or better yet, send them a card. The smile on their face when they open the envelope will be priceless and you will be grateful you did!
I chose to use the Blessings Of Home Stamp Set and Flowers Of Home Dies that are in the upcoming January – June 2022 Mini Catalog. The greeting was taken from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set in the 2021 – 2022 Annual Catalog. The label was cut using the Meadows Dies from the Annual Catalog.
Soft, Subtle Colors Combined with Texture
In designing the card, I wanted a bold floral image that could be stamped and die cut to allow for dimension. Shimmery White Cardstock provided thickness and sparkle. Stampin’ blends including Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Misty Moonlight and Old Olive provided soft subtleness that I was looking to achieve.
Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder with a layer of Misty Moonlight provided texture and interest to the card. The center strip is from the Heart and Home Designer Series Paper. Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon with the label and Clear Wink of Stella to the tips of the flowers provided the finishing touches.
- Basic White Cardstock – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
- Misty Moonlight Cardstock – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Heart and Home DSP – 2 1/2″ x 5 3/8″
- Shimmery White Cardstock – 4″ x 6″ for floral image and label
- Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon – 5 1/2″
