Darling Baby Cards With Stampin’ Up! Little Dreamer

Today, I thought it would be fun to make some cards that can be used for either a baby shower or birth of a little one. I used Stampin’ Up! Little Dreamers Bundle, as well as, the Partial Embossing Technique to make some darling baby cards. Since I didn’t have any current patterned paper that I wanted to use on this card, I decided to layer with Balmy Blue card stock followed by a layer of partially embossed Basic White. For my partially embossed layer, I used two different embossing folders, one of the Basics and Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folders. The variation in texture and dimension was appealing and the Cane Weave reminded me a crocheted baby blanket.

For the die cuts of the moon, I used a scrap of Lemon Lolly card stock. The stars were die cut from Textured 12′ x 12″ Shimmer Paper (Balmy Blue). If you don’t have the Shimmer Paper, simply use Balmy Blue card stock or color an area using Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends on Basic White and die cut the stars, that way.

• Smoky Slate
  • 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ (card base)
• Basic White
  • 3 3/4″ x 5″ (partially embossed layer)
  • 3 3/4″ x 5″ (inside layer 2)
  • scraps (stamping/die cutting)
• Balmy Blue
  • 4″ x 5 1/4″ (layer 1)
  • 4″ x 5 1/4″ (inside layer 1)
• Lemon Lolly
  • scrap (die cut)
