Little Monkey W Fun Fold : Sneak Peek

Are you ready for some monkey business? Today, I have a “sneak peek” of Stampin’ Up!’s Little Monkey Bundle. When I first saw this bundle, I thought it would be cute to make a Little Monkey W Fun Fold. The images are sweet and cute, perfect for the dimensions of a W Fun Fold card.

Today’s card is for my grandson’s birthday. Mossy Meadow was used for the card base and paired it with Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper. However, you could use any number of Designer Series Papers or a layer of embossed card stock. After stamping the monkey on Basic White, I stamped it, again, on a Post -It Note. This allowed me to mask the monkey, prior to stamping the leaves. I used Stampin’ Blends to color the images: Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie and Lemon Lolly.

I, often, like to piece sentiments together from a variety of stamp sets, as it allows me to add variety to my greetings. On the card front, I used “Happy Birthday” from Very Best Occasions. Further down, on the inside of the card, you will see where I used a sentiment from A Grand Kid.

On the inside of the card, I added images and sentiments. I varied the height of the square layers to provide some interest leaving the last square blank to write a short message. I you need more room to write a note and sign it, you could always add a layer of Basic White to the very back of the card.
