Are you ready to learn how to make a Double Point Fold Card? I sure hope so, because I am going to show you two cool designs that you can use to create this fun fold. This card is easy to make and requires little in the way of supplies.

Basic Double Point Card Design

Below, I used a 4 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Petunia Pop for the card base. To create the double points, I used two pieces of 4″ x 3″ Designer Series Paper. The points are adhered to the back of a 4″ x 5 1/4″ Basic White layer at the top and bottom. Because the Basic White layer is the inside of the card, I was careful to stamp a floral image and sentiment ensuring that it would be hidden behind the front flap. For this card, I used the third largest of the Countryside Corners Dies. However, the flap could be any shape at all such as a rectangle, circle, square or whatever else you may choose to use.

Here, I used sentiments from Sentimental Park and images from the Flowers of Beauty Bundle. I really enjoy mixing my stamp sets for more options. I used Petunia Pop and Summer Splash to stamp my images, but since these images require two-step stamping, I chose to stamp off on the “fill” for the images.

In this basic design, the Basic White layer with the double points is the inside of the card. I chose to stamp stems of leaves in Summer Splash and stamp my sentiment over the leaves using Tuxedo Black Momento ink. I loved the finished look!

Above, I made the same card front, but mounted the Basic White layer with the double points on the front of a Petunia Pop standard A2 card base. Here, I stamped my greeting on the front flap and then dry embossed the flap using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder for added texture and dimension. The only other difference was that I, now, had two “insides” to stamp. Below, you will see the Basic White layers with sentiments and the inside layers.
