Happy September! Today, I am going to show you a “sneak peek” of the Stampin’ Up! Fragrant Forest background stamp! When first seeing the stamp, I immediately thought of winter and holidays, which is what I am focusing on, today. But, the versatility of Fragrant Forest lends it to being used for just about any other occasion, including a masculine and sympathy card.
Fragrant forest stamping ideas
Below, are three cards, each with a very different look depending on what I used to stamp the image. Overall, the cards are fairly monochromatic. All are greens or variations, thereof, with white. The card bases were 4 1/4″ x 11′ scored at 5 1/2.” Two cards are simply layered, while the third adds a dry embossed frame. Each layer was cut one-quarter inch smaller than the previous layer.
Since, I wanted my stamped layer to measure 3 3/4″ x 5″, I started off with a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of card stock. This allowed wiggle room to trim edges. Sentiments were from Brightest Glow and heat embossed using Metallic Embossing Powders. I used metallic ribbons and sequins or tiny gems to embellish each card.
