It is easy to come up for floral or “cutesy” type cards. But, I, often, have a hard time with ideas for masculine cards. So today, I thought I would share some easy card making ideas using the Adventurous Sky Bundle from Stampin’ Up!
The Adventurous Sky Bundle is fun with images of airplanes and clouds with matching dies. But, there are, also, three distinctive die cuts to construct a plane. There are several sentiments with various fonts…a great theme for masculine cards!
Today, I am sharing two cards using this bundle paired with the Take To the Sky Designer Series Paper. Within this Designer Paper are two sheets that are meant to be cut into smaller pieces for layering and tags. I used pieces from this paper in, both, cards. So much fun!

Adventurous sky: You’re The Best

In the card, above, I used Smoky Skate for the card base layered with Boho Blue and a panel cut from the Take To The Sky Designer Series Paper. The pieces of the plane were cut from Night of Navy and Silver Foil. Such a striking contrast. I used Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems to embellish the card front.
On the inside, I stamped the plane and used a Post-It Note to make a mask. I, then, masked the plane and stamped clouds. I demonstrate how to mask an image in the video tutorial, below.

Adventurous Sky: Happy Birthday

Here, I decided on a masculine birthday card. I had so much fun layering the smaller pieces and tags from the Take To The Sky Designer Series Paper on a Boho Blue card base. I, again, used the distinctive dies with Night of Navy and Silver Foil for the plane. The Copper Clay from the Natural Tones Linen Thread picked up the color from the tag.
The inside of the card is layered with Smoky Slate and Basic White. In the upper right corner, I used the masking technique to add clouds behind the plane, as well as, to stamp a portion of the sentiment “Flying By To Say Hi.”
