This week’s Fun Fold Friday features an easy Pocket Fun Fold Card. I first saw this card made by Jackie Bolhuis during the 2023 Fall Creativate Retreat. Today’s fun fold is perfect for any occasion and adaptable to just about any stamp set and Designer Series Paper. I am using the Fluffiest Friends Bundle, a Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive that will be available to customers on November 7, 2023. Since my card is for a birthday, I paired it with the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper. Are you ready to make a Pocket Fun Fold?
Pocket Fun Fold Birthday Card
I chose Berry Burst for the card base, as well as, the small card for the pocket. This was a color that stood out from the Bright and Beautiful Designer Series Paper. For the corner pocket, I used a 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ square of Berry Burst cut on the diagonal. Prior to cutting on the diagonal, I chose to emboss mine using one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. However, another option, would be to cut a 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ square of Designer Series Paper on the diagonal and layer it on the triangle.
The pocket card is 3″ x 8″ scored at 4″. Since the Fluffiest Friends stamp set does not have any sentiments, I used Go To Greetings for my “Happy Birthday.” I stamped the bunny using Tuxedo Black Momento ink on a scrap of Basic White. Next, I used several Stampin’ Blends for coloring. I used the matching dies to die cut the bunny and “popped” it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For the inside of the small card, I chose a greeting from the Charming Sentiments Stamp set. I used a 1/2″ x 2 3/4″ strip of matching Designer Series Paper on the edge of the Basic White layer.
In the video, below, you will see how to make an easy Pocket Fun Fold card. Further down in the post, you will see a second card, supplies and downloadable PDF. Leave me a comment, I would love to know your thoughts on on this easy Pocket Fun Fold card.
