Today, I am using the Hello Harvest Bundle. And since July is World Watercolor Month, I felt the images in this stamp set were perfect for using Stampin’ Up! Pastels to watercolor. Coloring is relaxing for me and I love that Stampin’ Up! provides us with so many different mediums in which to do that.

Today’s card is part of the Crafty Collaborations 2022 July – December Mini Catalog Blog Hop! I love Blog Hops for many reasons. I feel fortunate to participate with a phenomenal group of talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world. I love to “hop” along and see the projects. Everyone is so talented in their own way and it allows us all to learn from one another. Most importantly, the connections and friendships I have made and continue to make along my stamping journey are priceless. While I may never meet many of them “in person,” they are my friends, nevertheless!

Hello Harvest Card Front

I stayed with a simple design and standard card base. I used Mossy Meadow and layered it with a layer of Thick White Basic Cardstock. To add some dimension I dry embossed the Basic White layer using the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. I then took daubers and using the Stampin’ UP! Soft Pastels, lightly applied Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Mossy Meadow to some of the embossed leaves.

Watercoloring With Pastels

The pumpkin and floral arrangement are stamped using Black Stazon Ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. A water painter was used to color the pumpkin and floral arrangement. Once die cut, I carefully bent the edges of the pumpkin backwards. This provided a gentle curvature of the pumpkin. Stampin’ Dimensionals were run through the middle of the pumpkin and the sides were adhered with Multipurpose Glue. I finished it off with Wink of Stella to the flowers, leaves and pumpkin. Last, I applied some Elegant Faceted Gems to the front of the card.

A Basic White layer was added to the inside with a sentiment. A small flower was stamped in the lower right corner water painted to match the front.
