There are dozens of ways to make window cards, but today, I am going to talk about making an acetate window card using acetate sheets, otherwise known as window sheets. I like using the acetate sheets for my window cards because it adds an element of surprise or a “peek” to the inside of the card.
For my window card, I chose to use two bundles from the 2023 January – April Mini Catalog: Two-Tone Flora and Something Fancy. I paired it with the Fancy Flora 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. The prints and colors in this paper are beautiful and chose colors within the Designer Series Paper for my stamping: Orchid Oasis, Calypso Coral and Soft Succulent. Since the sentiment is visible through the “window,” I decided not to do an external greeting.

Inside of Acetate Window Card
Below, you will see two options for finishing the inside of the card. The card on the left, I added stamped images on the inside of the acetate to cover up the backs of the images on the front of the card. While placement isn’t perfect because they are not mirrored images, it did add some design to the inside of the card. On the right, I chose to leave the images as they were and not worry about covering the white backs. After all, it is a handmade card with love….
