Today, I’m excited to share one of my all-time favorite fun folds—The Peek-A-Boo Fun Fold! I first saw this design a few years ago by the talented Patti Dolan, and it’s been a go-to in my cardmaking ever since. This fold is not only fun to make but also gives your card a delightful surprise element that’s sure to wow the recipient. And the best part? It uses a full sheet of 8½” x 11” cardstock for the card base, making it easy to plan and cut!

For this card, I featured the gorgeous Flowers of Beauty Bundle for my stamped images and paired it with the stunning Lovely Garden 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper, which actually inspired my color choices. I love when the DSP gives me direction!

For a little extra detail, I used the Fancy Borders Dies along the front edge of my card front. This added a soft, delicate touch that frames the peek-a-boo window beautifully and shows off the Designer Series Paper in the back, adding more excitement to creating this peek-a-boo fun fold card.

Fun Fold Color Inspiration

The colors in the Lovely Garden DSP really spoke to me, so I pulled Crushed Curry and Garden Green for my florals and leaves. To keep things simple, I limited myself to just those two inks. Pro tip: stamping off helps create depth and variety without adding extra ink pads to your workspace! I love how versatile a single ink can be when you stamp off for lighter tones.

Peek-A-Boo Fun Fold Video Tutorial

This Peek-A-Boo Fun Fold card is so versatile—you can switch up your DSP, stamp sets, or colors to fit any occasion. Instead of a rectangle, use a circle or square to create your Peek-A-Boo window. I love how this design lets me showcase beautiful papers and add dimension with die cuts and layering.

If you’re more of a visual learner (like me!), I’ve got you covered. I created a step-by-step video tutorial showing exactly how I made this Peek-A-Boo Fun Fold card—from cutting the cardstock to adding those final pretty details. You can watch how it all comes together and get a closer look at the Flowers of Beauty Bundle, the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper, and the dies I used.
