Round We Go is one of the first bundles that caught my eye in the 2024-2025 Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog. Immediately, I had several ideas for using, both, the stamps and dies. Despite buying it early on, I had not used it. So, this week, I challenged myself to use this bundle. I found so many different ways in which to use the stamps and dies and was excited to share some of them with you!
Round We Go Bundle Backgrounds: Basic Beige Tone-On-Tone
I don’t, often, create my own backgrounds. But, I should, I enjoy doing it. I just tend to reach for Designer Series Paper or Embossing Folders. Here, I created a tone-on-tone background using the largest stamp from the bundle with Basic Beige card stock and stamp pad. I stamped the flower centers and cut the dies using Lost Lagoon and Pumpkin Pie. The color combination was from the Color Coach for Basic Beige! I used the Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock Foil Gems to embellish the center of the pinwheels.
On the inside of the card, I double stamped, again, tone on tone using Basic Beige. Next, I stamped my sentiment in the middle of the pinwheel.
Creating Backgrounds with the Round We Go Bundle: 2024 -2025 In Colors
In the card below, I used the negatives from the die cuts in the card above to create a blended background. I used Peach Pie, Summer Splash and Petunia Pop with blending brushes. I masked off the negatives using Post-It Notes and created a soft, subtle background. What a great way to use the Round We Go negatives from die cutting!
To create the two largest pinwheels, I stamped using Peach Pie and Summer Splash. After inking the stamp, I stamped once, then rotated the stamp, slightly, and stamped, again. I used a die from the bundle to create the small perforations in the center of the pinwheel. Next, I die cut the centers of the pinwheels using the 2024 – 2026 In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper.
To create the smaller pinwheel, I cut one image from Petunia Pop and one from the Petunia Pop In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to “pop up” the pinwheels. For interest and contrast, I used White Embossing powder to heat embossed the sentiment on Basic Black.
Round We Go Background: Embossed
Above, I chose to use Basic White and Basic Black for my card base and layers. I chose to use the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder, as the images reminded me of the pinwheels on the card. Next, I created the pinwheels using the same methods I did on the earlier cards. I stamped the sentiment using Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and matted on Basic Black.
Below is the video tutorial that covers several ideas for using the Round We Go Bundle, stamps and dies, to create backgrounds and fun cards! Below, you will find the supplies and downloadable PDf with measurements to recreate these fun cards. I hope you enjoyed the tips on creating backgrounds, using the negatives from the dies and creating the pinwheels. Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts on this fun Round We Go Bundle.
