Today, I have a “sneak peek” of two easy cards using the Softly Sophisticated Bundle by Stampin’ Up! This bundle will be available as a Sale-a-bration item beginning January 4, 2024. What makes this bundle different from others is that it consists of a two-step stamp set and a 3D embossing folder. There are several reasons I am loving this bundle. First, the embossing folder is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Second, I like the simplicity of the two-step images. They are perfect for just about any occasion. Lastly, I love the scripted font.
For both cards, I chose to use a Basic Black card base with a Basic White layer embossed with the Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing Folder. For the flowers, I used Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo. I used the Classic Matte Dots to embellish the front of the cards.
Softly Sophisticated: You’re In My Thoughts
Here, while it may be difficult to see, I carried through the embossing on the Basic Black strips. The stamped image provided just a “pop” of color. When I went to add the bow, I thought it was Flirty Flamingo. In reality, it is Calypso Coral. But, it was so close in color to my stamped image, I used it, anyway! The scripted font added to the elegance of the card.

Softly Sophisticated: Hello There
Here, my layout is, basically, the same except that the orientation is portrait. On this card, instead of strips, I used one of the Foursquares Masks and blended Petal Pink, Calypso Coral and Flirty Flamingo. My end goal was to have a look of distressed tile.

In the video below, you will see how I made, both, cards. In addition, I will share tips and tricks for blending and using the blending brushes. Below you will find a downloadable PDF with measurements and supplies for the two cards. I would love for you to leave me a comment with your thoughts on the Softly Sophisticated Bundle and/or the cards!

For the inside of the card, I simply stamped the floral image that I used on the front of the card. Most often, I do not stamp an internal sentiment until I am ready to send the card. At that point, I can decide whether I want to do a handwritten message or stamp a greeting.

Beautiful cards! Loved how you used black to showcase the lovely floral images. Nice job demonstrating how to use the masks.
