Diagonal Joy Fold: Regency Park

Today, I am featuring a Diagonal Joy Fold card using products from the Regency Park Suite. Now, you may be asking, “What is a Joy Fold?” It is a fun fold card that is a card within a card! If you look below, we have a large card base with the front cut on a diagonal. The second card base is smaller and mounted on the inside of the larger base resulting in a card within a card.

Color:

First, I decided on my color scheme. As a result, I chose Night of Navy for the diagonal joy fold and smaller card base and paired it with Regency Park Designer Series Paper. The Regency Park Designer Series Paper is comprised of beautiful florals, as well as, monochromatic patterns. I wanted a stamped floral image to be the focal point of my card. Therefore, I chose to use a non-floral Designer Series Paper in Petal Pink. To guide me in the rest of my color choices, I used Stampin’ Up!’s Color Coach. As a result, I decided on Poppy Parade and Shaded Spruce.

Stamping:

Next, the Regency Suite includes two bundles: Petal Park and Sentimental Park. Both of which I used in my design. Some of the stamps are two-steps producing beautiful detailed images. Because some of the stamps are larger, I used the Stamparatus to accurately line up the images for the two-step stamping.

A Joy Fold is one type of fun fold card. Basically, it is a card within a card. There are many types of Joy Fold cards.
