I’m sharing how to make easy stenciled berry cards using the Spellbinders Stencil of the Month called Market Berries. By the way, these easy stenciled berry cards are perfect for quick crafting sessions.
To take these cards a step further, I paired the stencil with the Berry Best stamp and die set by Simon Hurley. This combination makes it simple to add layered details that really bring your cards to life.

Why You’ll Love Stenciled Cards
Stenciling is one of the easiest ways to create bold, eye-catching cards quickly. Here’s why it’s one of my favorite techniques:
- Perfect for beginners and experienced cardmakers
- Creates beautiful layered designs with minimal effort
- Easy to customize with your favorite color combinations
- Works beautifully with stamps and dies
The Market Berries stencil makes it especially fun—you can go bold and vibrant or soft and subtle depending on your ink choices.

Card Design Details
For today’s cards, I focused on creating bright, cheerful berry backgrounds and pairing them with simple, clean sentiments and, in some cases, a die cut or two. These easy stenciled berry cards allow a lot of flexibility for experimenting with colors and designs.
Here’s what I used:
- Spellbinders Stencil of the Month: Market Berries
- Berry Best Stamp & Dies by Simon Hurley
- Ink blending brushes + dye inks
- White cardstock for crisp layering
Design Tips:
- Start with lighter ink and build intensity gradually…you can always add color, but you can’t take it away!
- Use a blending brush for smooth transitions
- Keep your sentiment bold and simple to balance the background
- Add dimension with die cuts or foam adhesive
Tips for Better Stenciling
f you’re new to stenciling—or just want better results—these tips will make a big difference:
- Tape your stencil down to prevent shifting or use a “sticky mat”
- Dab off on paper or glass mat
- Start your blending motion before reaching the card stock
- Use circular motions when blending ink
- Clean your stencil between layers for crisp images
- Don’t overthink it—imperfection adds charm!
