One of the first bundles that caught my attention in the 2024 – 2025 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog was the Spotlight On Nature Bundle. I loved the simplicity of the images. Yet, I saw myself being able to use it in various card designs. Spotlight On Nature is a great bundle for a beginning stamper, as well as, a veteran card maker. Today, I thought I would share two different card designs using two of the new In Colors. Although I used Spotlight On Nature with the two card designs below, you can use these same card designs with other stamp sets or bundles.

Spotlight On Nature: Dear friend

I chose Pretty In Pink for my card base and added a 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ strip of 2024 -2026 In Color Designer Series Paper. Next, I stamped the images with Tuxedo Black Moment ink on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White card stock. I wanted my stamped images to appear as though they were watercolored. But instead of watercolors, I thought I could achieve the same effect with ink and a Blender Pen. I chose Pretty In Pink and Shy Shamrock for the flowers and Peach Pie with Lemon Lolly for the butterfly. I added black accents to the white space and matted the greeting in black, as well! Last, I embellished the card front with 2024 – 2026 In Color Resin Dots.

I love the simplicity of this card! Here, I chose another new In-Color, Summer Splash, for my card base. I added a layer of Basic White, dry embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder. For my focal point, I used a circle die from the Spotlight On Nature Dies. The dies consist of twelve circles of various sizes with a variety of borders. Here, I simply stamped the leaf image using Summer Splash and “popped” it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, I matted my sentiment with black and embellished the front with 2024 – 2026 In Color Resin Dots.
Below is the instructional video demonstrating, both, card designs. Further down in the post, you will find a downloadable PDF with the link to the instructional video, measurements, and supplies. I would love you thoughts on the two simple card designs using the Spotlight On Nature Bundle.
